  1. Should women play in the NFL.

Have you ever played football, I have and man it's dangerous and you can get hurt. Do you remember the last time a girl played in the NFL. I don't, and thats good because most girls are to afraid of getting tackled, or getting concussions. So those are my reasons why women shouldn't play in the NFL.

If you are a girl, would you want to play in the NFL? Do you think you have the courage to play with the strongest of the strong? How many times have you hit your head or hurt yourself badly? When I played it was a disaster going down the road of pain. Most people break their arms. The only good place that women can play is kicker and that is the one that is not dangerous.

Now maybe you see the point of tackle football and how it is not a girls sport. Can you kick a football 50-60 yards? That is the best spot for you if you can play. Now, take my advice and don't go down that road, I can still feel my leg when I hurt it.

    1. I like your argument, but wouldn't you want to protect men as well from injury? Why can't women play if men can?

    2. Kickers can still get hurt on fakes and if they get tackled before they kick the ball.

    3. I agree with Gigi, you have a very good topic, but why are women scared, men can also, in MY OPINION I think that women just don't want to play sports, they just prefer other sports. Great writing!

    4. I don't think they are afraid but they might just be not as aggressive as males or as tall or big as them.

But I do agree with you.

Sorry to anyone who doesn't think so that is just what i think

    6. Kicker is still a very dangerous position like when I was watching a game with the san diego chargers the punter got hit in the middle of a punt and did a back flip breaking his leg.

    7. GOOD JOB. But I think that girls could tackle a football player, but we get excluded from this. We could work out and get as big as a boy but we just don't.

      Nice job though. .

  2. There has always been some sort of science fiction paradox for every generation. Whether it was Schrödinger's Cat or aliens, there has always been something that some think is impossible. For this generation, one of these impossible feats that may actually exist is time-travel. For years, we have wondered if we humans could ever travel through time. Since we discovered spacetime, we have noticed that there may be a form of time travel: wormholes.

When I say time-travel, I don't mean magically be transported to a different time. I mean that by traveling through a wormhole, or a tunnel through spacetime, you would be skipping over time. Sadly, you would have to go all the way out into space to encounter one of these. In 1935, Nathan Rosen and Albert Einstein created the "field equations" that explain spacetime. Hypothetically, space time is curved in a way that if something went through a black hole and out the theoretical white hole, they would be traveling through time. This black/white hole concept, or the Einstein-Rosen bridge is more commonly known as a wormhole. If these so-called "white holes" were to be scientifically proven, it would confirm the "Many Worlds" theory. In the Many Worlds Theory, dark matter and dark energy will keep expanding our universe until it starts rapidly slowing down. the universe will start condensing, and all matter will be sucked in by a black hole. When the Massive Black Hole can't hold enough matter, it will cause all of the energy to cause another Big Bang in another universe. In conclusion, wormholes are very important to the universe.

We seem to know a lot about wormholes, but certain things are confusing us very much. First of all, are there even white holes? How could you ever make it through the wormhole without being crushed by the black hole's extreme gravity? What about the twin paradox? In the twin paradox, two twins are born on Earth. One lives his life entirely on Earth, while the other goes through extreme acceleration in space. When the second twin comes back to Earth, the first twin is significantly older. Will this paradox come into play if someone were to travel through a wormhole? All of these questions are why many people doubt that wormholes exist. Do you think that these amazing feats of spacetime exist?

As you can see, wormholes are amazing wonders of space. They not only bend everything we thought is possible, they also apply to the laws of physics! Is it true that time travel may be possible? This question may never hold an answer, but wormholes truly are amazing portals to learn about.

    2. Great opinions. Time Travel is like our science paradox. It is interesting to know that wormholes are time travel, but I feel like wormholes are familiar...... Don't know, but great post!! I also researched about black holes in 3rd grade. But, Great job!

    3. Oh, and white holes would prove BOTH the Many Worlds Theory and the Big Bounce Theory (universe=end-->universe=begin)

  3. Should Children Have Dogs?

How many of you have a dog that you love or you really want a dog to play with and be your companion. Probably a lot of you. I strongly believe that children should have dogs for these reasons, they are good companions who can bring you up when you feel down and they are a lot of fun to play with either by throwing around a tennis ball, running with them, or just sitting next to him or her playing with it.

Have you ever felt down and there is no one around to cheer you up? If you have a dog and you are sad you can just sit down next to it, hug it and let it make you feel better. They're the ideal confidant and an ever-willing playmate. Who always greets you at the front door and makes you feel like the luckiest person each and every day.

Do you sometimes want to play with someone but no one wants to play with? If you have a dog you will never have to worry about that again. Most dogs are almost always willing to play with you be it by tug of war fetch or wrestling on the floor dogs always give you a great time. Also kids with dogs get more exercise because they have to take the dog on a walk.

In conclusion dogs are amazing creatures that every kid should have. There is a reason that dogs are called man's best friend.

  4. Football is the best sport.

I think football is the best sport. If you want to learn why read the following paragraphs.

My first reason is that in football there is a lot of action. I mean a lot. The average play only lasts 5 seconds and during those five seconds people are running around pushing each other and tackling the person with the ball. I played football when it was in season and you can get injured.

My second reason is that there are many different positions in football so if you aren't good at throwing the ball or catching the ball you can block. These are just some of the positions, middle line backer, wide receiver, tight end, quarterback, Defensive end, safety, full back, half back, center, corner back, tackles, and guards.

And that is why I think football is the best sport. Baseball is too slow and soccer if you are bad at one thing your bad at the game.

  6. Should women be allowed the same opportunities in sports as men?
Dear women of the world, have you ever been told tat you can't play sports? Well, who ever has been saying that to you is wrong. My reasons are all in these three paragraphs.

Women are just as important as men. They are almost as good at sports, but they have a right to play with them. Women are just as good so they should be included with the men in particular sports. I have seen women play against men but why not play together. We should all be equals!

The reason some of these people (I'm assuming males.) think that less people want to watch women's sports is because everyone overwhelmed with men's sports. You see very few people on TV talking about Brittney Griner. But just 15 minutes ago it was all about Lebron James. In the sports world there are less opportunities for women. This is wrong. It's completely out of a women's control. It is very similar to discriminating against one's race in sports. As a female athlete this I am outraged that this needs to be a topic of debate. It should simply be common sense.

Women have the exact same rights as men. How are the two genders different? (By legal standards that is). Sure women may be more emotional and weaker than men but that does not mean we cannot prove to the boys we are not equal! Every heard the phrase "Anything you can do I can do better?" Well its true! If one puts their heart and soul into something, with their focus clearly on the objective of the sport, men and women would be tied. Let people do what they love, don't be biased because of one's gender.

And that is why I think women should be allowed the same opportunities in sports as men.

  7. Persuasive: The Fear Of Boogie Boarding
We were going to one of my favorite places to go; The Santa Barbara beaches. We had a rental home for the trip, and left to go to the beach. Nicole, (my sister) was cranking up the music on the radio. "Would you not have the music up so loud?" I said. "Everyone makes mistakes" she sang loudly. To solve the problem, I simply put on headphones, and listened to my own music. Suddenly, Mark (my dad) announces "We are at the beach". I was so pumped, I just wanted to run out of the car as fast as a cheetah.

We got on the sandy beach, and set our towels down. "Looks like good waves" Nicole said while getting ready to go into the water. "Your right" I added. This was just another great bonus at the beach. "I always have so much fun here" I thought. Remembering the last time we were here at this beach. "Could we go in the water?" I asked. My legs were ready to run straight into that water. "Yeah, sure, but do you want a boogie board this time?" he asked. My mind was racing, wondering if I should or not. "I don't think so, Dad". Oh come on, its so much fun. You will love it!" my sister persuading me. "Um...... okay, fine". My dad tossed me a boogie board while my sister was proud of herself. Then, we started to run into the ocean water. When my feet touched the water, I got a little chill. I was a little uneasy about this boogie boarding idea.

Wave after wave had come, and I was still a little not going. Finally, I made up my mind to do it. The wave that was destine for me came. So, I took the risk of going on it. My feet paddled behind the boogie board, and my stomach was ready on the boogie board. The wave took me all the way to the sand. "That was awesome" I thought. "Yeah, that was super fun!" I exclaimed. My dad put a smile on his face, and my sister was standing up tall, feeling like a hero. "Well, don't you have something to say" My sister asked me. "Yes.... Thank you Nicole" I said with a smile. "Your welcome" Nicole responded. After all the other waves we rode, I walked back into that car with proudness. It felt good to conquer that fear.

  8. 1. Should Corte Madera have cheerleading in 6th 7th and 8th grade

I believe that they should have cheerleading for the 6, 7, 8 grades at Corte Madera because it gives girls to do something if they don't really like sports as much.

I think it is good because it gives girls a chance to get exercise at school with friends and it might make the football team hear a little more popular because the girls could also invite their friends to come see the games too so its not just the boys asking so their is more people.

I also think it is a good idea because if cheerleaders and football player ask people to come we could cell things to get money for the school so it could kinda be like a charity for the school.

So i hope you should get an idea about why we should have cheerleading at our school for 6th 7th and 8th graders.

So do you like dancing and getting a workout a the same time then go tell people in the office about it tell people around the campus to get it started.

  9. Narrative: Adventures In North Carolina

It was an icy, winter evening as we landed in Charlotte, North Carolina. As we tried to check in to our connecting flight to Orlando, we were told that the airport was closed. They said no flights were taking off until the next day due to ice. We were shocked! What were we to do all night in a strange town in an airport?

The whole family went into work mode. Many people were staying the whole night at the airport, but we were determined to stay in a hotel. While mom booked a flight for the next day, my sister and I sat with grandma. We found a hotel, but the luggage was not available. What were we going to do without our pajamas and clothes?

We had to wait in a long line for a taxi that would take us to the hotel. It was freezing. It took forever to get to the hotel because the snow plow was in front of us. I was thrilled seeing a snow plow for the first time.

Upon arrival to the hotel, I was so happy to see snow. Running to the lobby, I slipped on the ice and slid across the entryway. It was freezing! As soon as we entered the lobby, there were really nice furniture, and one of the best toys in the world was being raffled! Can you believe it? Across the country, no other hotel available, and the only one was across the street from the American Girl store.

Everything was closed! There was no dinner, just a vending machine. The only thing available was the vending machine and what mom packed in our snack bags. The hotel gave us warm milk, and we were fast asleep. I went to my grandma and grandpa’s hotel room since my sister was being too noisy.

The next morning, we woke up and walked around while waiting to go back to the airport. It was amazing to see frozen fountains, ice cracking under our feet, and tables blanketed with snow. I kicked off a chunk of snow and played snowball soccer with it as we walked toward the direction of the frozen fountain. There were icicles that were easy to pick off so I took one and held it with my cold jacket so it wouldn’t melt. Suddenly, a pile of snow slid off of a rooftop and came crashing down. It was a sight to see.

We finally headed back to the airport and were on our way to Orlando, Florida. It’s important to always be ready for an emergency, especially when you’re in a snowstorm!

  10. Should Corte Madera teacher have class pets

In my opinion I think that Corte madera teachers should have class pets because it gives students a chance to look after something and take responsibility.

One reason I think teachers should have class pets is because sometimes a class pet can bring a class together even more because everyone has to pitch in the take care of the pet.

Another reason why I think teachers should have class pets because it teaches the class about how to take care of a pet with a lot of other people and how to be responsible

So in conclusion I think teachers should have class pets because it teaches students to be responsible and how to work together.

  11. This story is about when my grandma, on my dads side of the family, died in 2013 .
My dad told me that grandma Sandhu was very sick and then died. I was really sad when we had to go to her funeral. When I had to say goodbye, I began crying really hard. My grandpa was really sad too. My mom and dad said its ok to cry as much as you want during a hard time like this one. We went on a boat and scattered her ashes, and put flowers in the water too. I really loved her so much.

  12. Snickers vs. Milkyway

What would you choose? A snicker bar or a milkyway bar? I personally think that snickers bars are better than milkyway bars. First, snicker bar is healthier than milkyway bars. Secondly, snicker bars have peanuts.

First, because of the peanuts, snickers bars have 4 grams of protein per bar. This is about ⅕ of the protein that a young adult needs each day. Also, snickers bars have less sugar than milkyway bars.

Secondly, the taste of the snicker bar is different than a milkyway. Peanuts make a crunchyness in the bar so it feels like you are chewing on something. As you chew on the bar, it helps you to feel like you are full.

In conclusion, I like snickers better than milkyways because they are healthier, and taste better. And let me tell you something, Snickers Satisfy.

    5. Coco, I concur with your bold statement. There's nothing like a smooth Snicker's bar. Slightly creamy, strong-filled with mounds of caramel, and a river bed of sugar. I particularly love Snicker bars while I'm playing golf with my family. Typically during the 7th or 8th hole, my body tends to shout out in hunger pains. I look forward to seeing the lady driving the golf cart with a host of foods and snack. Automatically I ask for a large Snicker's bar that weighs the size of Milan's heart. Approaching the tee, I take several bites. I'm good to go for the next 2-3 hours. A perfect pick me up that doesn't help me get a hole in one.

  14. I don't remember the moment that changed me as a person because I was a baby, but I know it was when I got sick and lost my hearing. My parents were told by the doctor that I probably had a cold. I started to become more sick, so my parents took my back to the doctor that same day.

I remember strange hints and moments I had when I went this tough time period. One thing I truly remember is the fact that many people supported me, and my family went through it together the whole entire time.
