What's your character?

After today's less than stellar Lockdown drill, I want to know just what the Fireballs are truly made of? Where's your moral fiber? Where's your character? Where's your focus? Where and what are your priorities?

Directions

  • Answer this very deep question in 8-10 sentences.
  • Give examples to support your comments or reasons.
  • PLEASE YOUR OWN WORDS. BE YOURSELF AND CONTRIBUTE TO THE DISCUSSION.

  1. After today's drill I think we are made of steel but we didn't show that. We didn't acted like it we acted like a soft pillow. Not many kids were focusing on paying attention and I think sitting next to someone who talks to you is not a good spot to be in. I think that most of the distractions are coming from that gray chair. So I don't speak for all of us but I think we should get rid of it because it really splits the fireballs apart. I was expecting myself to do a great job and also the class but I was wrong. And next time maybe we should split everyone up so there is less goofing off.

  2. Boys and girls, please focus on the questions I shared with you. Don't just focus on today's incident; that's too specific. I want to know in general what you're made of. Thanks.

  3. Honestly, when it comes to our character, I'm not really sure. I feel like describing our character would be the same as judging myself. It would be imprisoning us from finding who we really are. It would be like trapping us in our own cage with no chance of escaping. I've given myself a defensive strategy to be immune to anyone who is teasing or gossiping about me, and I'm sure there are people who do. I bet that even today I have been called nerdy or weird, but I've just learned not to care (plus, I like being different *.*). If anyone doesn't like you or the way they act, it's their problem. You can't change people, so why let it bother you? I've made this rule for myself to avoid being judged, so why should I judge the Fireballs?
I do think that we all have different goals and priorities. I think that some people are more worried about academics, where as some people really want to come out of our shell in preforming. I think that for myself, besides doing well in school and helping the world, I want to make a label for myself. We all know that people give labels like jock, or nerd, but I want to put myself out there and be who I really am, instead of changing myself for others.

  4. After todays lockdown drill our classmate made noises and triggered others to goof off. I still hear the giggling. Ms. Donna tried to help by saying "knock it off," but no one listened to her. This was also a bad idea. Instead we should have been quiet and following directions. Drills are important to practice in case of a real emergency. We need to be quiet so a real intruder doesn't hear us or if the office needs to give us information on the PA system. Next time I will stay quiet and help remind others to do it too.

  5. After today's drill I think we could of done better. We acted like we were still in preschool, kids were laughing and standing up when know one told them too. I think the main problem was all the kids behind the black curtain all the fireballs back their (including me) were laughing and having a side conversation in the back, Like when someone (I don't really know who) farted and everyone in the back just started laughing and giggling for a long time. I think it's very unfair of the people in the back to have done such silly things, because we all knew what our priorities were then my question from the rest of the kids back there is just one word "WHY?" because they knew this wasn't a laughing matter.

    2. I think our class is made of many things, but one trait that stands out to me the most is that we are full of MISTAKES.

  6. I think as the fireballs instead of being all the same like having one trait, we all are different in a good way just like what Double G said. Even if I wasn't at the lockdown drill I still know we did a good job. I believe in fairness because I have not always been treated by them. Describing the fireballs are very hard and something that would take a while because everyone is unique. We are hard workers and never give up on something that we just started.

  7. We are truly made of focus, and hard workers. We sometimes might goof off, and not listen, but we always pull through. We are way better than we were today, with the sub, and other times we messed up. I think that our class is full of good characters, with tons of good qualities. I am still believing we can get 10,000 or better for points, because we always work hard to earn our goals. I believe today was just a silly day, where some people goofed off, and lost focus. I think we can achieve lots of things, if we put our mind to it.
I think that we have really good days, and then some bad ones. We aren't that consistent, but we do have great days. I think tomorrow, we just have to put our mind to it, and focus so we can earn the maximum points we can get. Our class is definitely made of lots of great characters. I think my priorities are to get all the points we can get to have 10,000 or more. I think I am usually focused, and a hard worker, but other times I might goof off and not stay on task. I think that overall, I am a great person.

  8. I think that like all classes we have our good days and our bad days and today was not a good one. I think that if the fireballs try harder to get more points and quick because the dead line is tomorrow and we have probably lost a lot of points. The fireballs are a lot better than what we showed today but people were messing around which broke it up. I think that when we lose most of our points is at the end of the day because we are restless but we have to give our all until Mr.Frederick dismisses us.

  9. I think we are truly made out of fairness, focus, and being ourselves. I think we all have something different boiling inside of us. Each one of us has a passion. For example, I have a passion for performing arts. We are all unique and special and very different and powerful way. I also think that we are made out of kindness. We all have respect for each other. Although, today the people behind the curtain were not listening to Donna when she told everybody to stop. I think that all of us should encourage each other to stop so then we don't lose any points. In conclusion, I think we should all respect every single one of us, which will help us bond together and grow as a class everyday.

  11. We are made of fire. But fire can be took down by water. When our fire gets took down by that water we get silly and have to laugh. Our moral fiber was took down by our weakness- water. But people have to expect ten-year olds to get silly and laugh when they have to sit in a corner for twenty minutes. Our character is who we are. Our character is within us and who we are. Every action we make describes our character. Our focus is lost in a maze and we have to find it. Our focus is on a break in Hawaii. Our focus is not with us right now. Our focus has flown away to a different land. Our priorities is being ourselves and following wherever god's path leads us. If we follow these two things our life will end up in heaven-our goal.

    1. I reflected on what I wrote about expectations for the fireballs. I think I wrote that because I actually felt just terrible about how we behaved and I was trying to make myself feel better by excusing it. I know we can do better and I believe we can achieve our very difficult goal of getting 10,000 points. I know I will do my best.

  12. during the drill And i will not point fingers but during the drill behind the curtain people were goofing off and i was one of then. After that the teachers told us strictly that we did not do a good job.But i thought their were some kids who heared the teacher's saying that but they did not believe it that's why we did a poor job.

  14. I think that we are made of our triumphs, fears, and successes. I think our moral fiber is in our heart, soul, and actions. In other word our moral fibers are in the lessons we learn, the decisions we make, and the thoughts we think. I say that our character is where we put it. if we put it in the wrong place it will be punished, if we put it in the right spot it will be rewarded. My focus is taking everything I have and putting it out in the world, to make the earth and the people on better. My priorities are: study harder, to learn more how I can help other things/creatures, and don't take it so hard on myself when I mess up.
